  • ALL APPLICANTS: The Admissions Committee would like to know more about you in your own words. Please respond to one of the following two prompts: 
    • (A) Please submit a brief essay, either personal or creative, which you feel best describes you. If transferring from a four-year institution, please include your reasons for transferring from your present institution. OR 
    • (B) Describe an experience you have had living or working in a diverse community. How might that experience help you to contribute to the life of a university community like Georgetown's? If transferring from a four-year instituion, please include your reasons for transferring from your present institution.
  • APPLICANTS TO GEORGE TOWN COLLEGE: Please relate your interest in studying at Georgetown University to your future goals. How do these thoughts relate to your chosen course of study?
  • APPLICANTS TO THE GEORGETOWN SCHOOL OF NURSING & HEALTHSTUDIES: Describe how your experiences or ideas shaped your decision to pursue a health profession and how these experiences or ideas may aid your future contribution to the field.
  • APPLICANTS TO THE WALSH SCHOOL OF FOREIGN SERVICE: Describe the development of your interest in international affairs and how you believe that pursuing your studies in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service would serve your future goals. 
  • APPLICANTS TO THE MCDONOUGH SCHOOL OF BUSINESS: Briefly describe the factors that have influenced your interest in studying business.

Requirements

  • SAT II
  • Recommendation letter(s): 2 (from a professor and a college Dean) 
  • Minimum credits: 12 
  • Others
    • have attended community colleges or four-year colleges and universities. 
    • have graduated from high school or earned high school diploma equivalent
    • a cumulative B+ average

    • Secondary School Report
    • A Non-refundable Application Fee of $65.00 
    • High school transcript, including SAT or ACT results
    • College transcript, including all work done through the current fall semester or the winter quarter
    • Recommendations from a current college dean and one professor, preferably from the major department
    • Transfer applicants who have been out of high school for 5 years or longer do not have to submit SAT/ACT scores.
