  • Please briefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work experiences in the space below (150 words or fewer, 1000 character maximum). 
  • Please provide a statement (250 words minimum) that addresses your reasons for transferring and the objectives you hope to achieve.
  • Include any additional information that you would like to provide regarding special circumstances, additional qualifications, etc. (1000 characters)

  • All transfer applicants: Answer the essay on a separate sheet of paper. Your essay should be one page in length (approximately 500 words). (Applicants to the Market and Social Systems Engineering major should skip this question and only answer the program-specific essay question in the Program-Specific section.)

    • Entrance Examination Proctor Agreement Form
    • Math/Science/Engineering Faculty Evaluation Forms (two are required)
    • College Official’s Report
    • Official academic transcripts from the last secondary school attended, and all colleges or universities attended
    • Topics and names of textbooks for all college math, science, and engineering courses taken
    • Application fee in the amount of $65 (U.S. dollars).
    • Official TOEFL score (if applicable)
    • Entrance Examinations in Mathematics and Physics (exams will be sent to your proctor in March 2011; they must be in the possession of the Caltech Undergraduate Admissions Office on or before April 1, 2011).
    • International Student Supplemental Form (if applicable)
