Georgetown Preparatory School

 Georgetown Prep is part of a rich heritage of Jesuit education – one that began in 1789 when

 Archbishop John Carroll, the first bishop of Baltimore, founded hisAcademy on the 

Patowmack.  Since then, the vision for Jesuit education has expanded and is now shared by more than 50 other Jesuit high schools in the United States. Jesuit education centers on the education of the whole person: mind, spirit and body. This is accomplished through cura personalis (Latin for personalized care and concern for the individual) and through a holistic curriculum.
